BA | Signet sends sensitive material that destroys itself, and keeps a proof that it existed. That second half is the whole point.
Every ephemeral messaging tool makes your message vanish. What vanishes with it is any proof you ever sent it. For a lawyer, a compliance officer, a journalist, or anyone who may one day need to show what they sent and when, that trade is unacceptable. Signet refuses it.
What it does
Your browser encrypts the message before it reaches us. We store only ciphertext; the key travels in the link, after the #, and never reaches us. You choose how long it lives and how many times it can be read. When those run out, we delete it.
If you choose to, we also anchor a one-way hash of the encrypted message on public blockchains. Years later you can reveal the link and prove exactly what you sent and when, and anyone can verify it without trusting us.
What we are honest about
We prove transmission, not destruction. That a specific message existed and was sent is mathematics, and it holds even if we disappear. That it was destroyed everywhere is not provable: the person who read it could have copied it, and no technology prevents that. We say so plainly, because a product sold to people who need real evidence has to be exact about what its evidence is worth.
Who makes it
Signet is built by Aletheia Tech Ltd, the team behind BlockchainAnalysis.io. It shares its proof infrastructure with BA | Stamp (blockchain timestamping) and BA | Scribe (anchored e-signatures): the same open, independently verifiable anchoring underlies all three, which is why a Signet proof can be checked with the same public, open-source tool.
